Shaken is the transliteration of the Hebrew word “neighbor”.  Shaken Ministries was designed to empower believers to reach their neighbors in an organized, united fashion. The basic structure is listed below.

  • Each team consists of 3 families or couples
  • Each team sets their own goals for frequency of meetings, consistency of prayer time together and outreach goals (i.e. how many people they will invite to church, the number of times they will have their neighbors over or the amount of personal prayer/time put into the ministry)
  • An event is held once a quarter at each family’s home
  • The same event is repeated three times
  • Each team assists with each event
  • Host family will mingle while other two families refill food and entertain kids

This blog has been set in place to encourage and challenge ladies to make each day an opportunity for outreach.  We encounter so many different people each day.  God has given us a chance to make a difference.  Here’s the first step.  Committing to bloom where you are planted.   By joining this blog you are saying “I have been shaken by my God and I’m ready to do something about it.”

We need people from all walks of life.  We need creative people to come up with fun activities to host at our homes.  We need organized people to make sure that everything is in order.  We need prayer warriors to stand behind the ministry.  We need you.
